“When I was young I used ot listen to the radio…” Hey, who didn’t; like we had a choice. Well, this site is dedicated to all of those songs that make you turn on the radio or grab your iPod. This site is dedicated to the music that is popular and what makes it popular.
A long time ago, a good song was about the words and music – and possibly the artist and his/her antics. Now, a good video may very well make a song more popular and in some cases, actually sell the song. It’s no longer an aural world of what will that band produce next. There’s a whole different level of video prescence, dress, design, etc. That used to only pertain during a live performance.
But, since videos have been around now for 20 plus years, I suspect they are here to stay and as such, they are included within this site. That should not, however, force you to hear the song any differently or see the words any differently.
So, this site is all about the music that is found everywhere and the decisions people have made to identify the appropriate music. Think about it: elevators, theme park rides and waiting lines – who chooses those songs that we all listen to while we are waiting for or enjoying an event?
Think about the music – and then think about the same moment without music and then you will understand its importance. Firstservesradio was designed to bring you deeper into the music and lyrics and make you think how much it brings to our society.
